The NFL Season is upon us! Somewhat of an unofficial holiday
here in the states, Opening Week provided plenty of highlights and thrills, but
the play of Redskins rookie QB Robert Griffin III, was most captivating. Five
rookie QBs started Sunday, the most ever on an opening day, but Griffin was the
only one that was able to secure a win. He was 19-26 for 323 yards, and 2
Touchdowns, even more impressive was the fact that he did this on the road
against a team, the New Orleans Saints, that didn’t lose any home games last
season. Although it’s just one game Redskin fans have to be excited. Another
huge story line was the return of the only man to win 4 NFL MVP awards, Peyton
Manning. After a season off due to a neck injury, being cut by the Colts after
14 years in Indy, and relocating to Denver, Manning was able to lead the
Broncos to victory against the Steelers. He was 19-26 with 253 yards and 2
Touchdowns.
